Busy or Productive in 2009?

08 Jan

2009 is here, but there’s still only 7 days a week and 24 hours a day.  If you’re like me, you probably constantly feel under the gun and down to the wire. So the question we’ve got to ask ourselves is, “Will I just be busy this year or will I be productive?”

If you want to manage your time wisely, you might want to check out C.J. Mahaney’s helpful posts on busyness, roles, goals, and scheduling.

Here are some snippets…

  • “Busyness does not mean I am diligent; busyness does not mean I am faithful; busyness does not mean I am fruitful.”
  • “My busyness may be procrastination in disguise.”
  • “Our biblical productivity depends upon a schedule, which depends upon clear goals, which depends “upon clearly defined roles.”

Here is the main page with ongoing  posts on Biblical Productivity. Keep checking back for new ones! Here are the posts so far…

Thank you for this. Laurie and I needed to read this in reagrds to something that we are dealing with right now. The last snippet was the line that gave us something specific to pray for tonight. I will keep my eye on CJ’s blog for ‘the rest of the story’.
